Five North Texas teams sit atop Southern Regional Premier League West divisions after September

FRISCO, Texas (Oct 4, 2016) – The first month of the 2016 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League (SRPL) West is in the books, and five North Texas Soccer teams lead their respective divisions, while three division leaders are from South Texas Youth Soccer Association and two hail from Oklahoma Soccer Association.

The SRPL is comprised of competitive teams in the Under-13 through Under-19 boys and girls age groups in Region III playing in league format. Division winners receive a bid to the US Youth Soccer Region III Championships and winners from select age groups qualify for the prestigious US Youth Soccer National League. Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Texas and South Texas make up the West sub-region, while Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee make up the East sub-region.

U-18 Andromeda FC 99 (TX-N)
U-19 Andromeda FC 98 (TX-N)

Under-17 Girls

Solar Chelsea 00 Bates (TX-N) holds a 6-0 record as the division leader. TSC Hurricane 00 Bolding (OK) is hot on Solar’s tail with a 5-0-1 record, and a pair of North Texas teams are just a point behind the Oklahoma side in Sting North 00 Angell (TX-N) and 2015 US Youth Soccer National Championships finalist Dallas Kicks SC 00 (TX-N).

Under-18 Boys

A trio of North Texas sides lead the Under-18 Boys age group as Andromeda FC 99 (TX-N) holds the tie-breaker over FC Dallas Youth 99 Premier (TX-N) and Dallas Texans 99 Red (TX-N). Each team’s loss has come at the hands of one of the other two leaders – so results against the remaining teams could decide the winner.

Under-18 Girls

Andromeda 99 (TX-N) is the lone North Texas side in the Under-18 Girls age group, but currently leads with a 4-0-1 record and a goal differential of +12. Houston Express 99 Navy (TX-S) looks to pose the biggest threat with a 3-0 record.

Under-19 Girls

Andromeda FC 98 (TX-N) continues Andromeda’s dominance of the older age groups by currently claiming first place with a 4-0-1 record. Sting Austin 98 Premier (TX-S) has only played two games, but has won both of them and will look to build off those wins in the upcoming games.
