Solar Soccer Club is extremely proud to announce that Adrian Solca, Executive Director of Coaching, has been awarded the prestigious 2019 Coach of the Year – Youth by the United Soccer Coaches Association. 

Adrian Solca is the Executive Director of Solar Soccer Club which represents 253 teams in North Texas. He was born in Romania and his drive for success was evident even at a young age. He played soccer for Metalul Bucuresti while being a member of the Youth National Soccer team pool.  Adrian played college soccer at the National University of Physical Education and Sports and was named Most Valuable Player in 1995 and 1996.  He earned class Valedictorian when he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and in 1998 attained his Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports.

Adrian arrived in the US in 1999 after winning the Diversity Visa program. His first US job was a bagger at a grocery store, where he was working when he started offering soccer skill sessions. As they quickly grew in popularity, the natural progression was into coaching youth teams to great success. In 2002, Coach Solca joined Solar Soccer Club.

Adrian’s gift of coaching has lead him to the position he now holds as Solar’s Executive Director of Coaching. Solca has continued his professional education receiving his USSF National “B” license in 2015, USSF National “A” license in 2017 and in 2019 his USSF Academy Director’s License. Adrian Solca is a humble man whose work ethic and dedication to youth sports is evident in his many accomplishments. Not only is he loyal, hardworking and determined but he has a gift for extracting the best from his players, coaches & staff.
