DALLAS, Texas (October 31, 2018) – Solar Soccer Club in partnership with The Soccer Corner announce its donation of $23,977 to Texas Health’s Cancer Support Community North Texas (CSCNT) through participation by more than 3,000 Solar Soccer Club players. Their Breast Cancer “Pinktober” campaign is supported by Solar Soccer Club players with the understanding that 100% of all proceeds generated from the purchase of pink jerseys that are worn the month of October will help support CSCNT’s mission to offer a totally free and unlimited robust program of support for patients, survivors and their loved ones dealing with a Breast Cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Solar Soccer Club’s effort aimed to support CSCNT because of their collaborative effort to provide expanded social and emotional support for patients and their loved ones across the Metro-plex.
“Solar Soccer Club believes in giving back to our community as we understand this disease affects not only many of our players’ loved ones but millions of women across the country” said Cambria Reinsborough Solar Soccer Club VP, “This year funds raised will enable mobile breast cancer screening services to women in under privileged communities with a fully functioning FREE mobile unit, CSCNT also offers individuals and families impacted by cancer psychological, emotional and social support in facing every step of their battle with cancer.”
About CSCNT: Texas Health Cancer Support Community North Texas offers a totally free and unlimited robust program of support for patients, survivors and their loved ones that include support groups facilitated by licensed mental health professionals, workshops, educational presentations, networking groups for breast cancer patients, fun social gatherings and referrals to other community services and resources.
