With his many years of playing and coaching experience, Michael Powers is renowned for sharing his passion for the game, building a strong team identity and teaching development and growth of the individual player. EXPERIENCE

As a collegiate athlete Mike  was a college All-American player who was inducted into  Rockhurst University Hall of Fame in 1996.  Mr. Powers moved to Dallas in 1984 to eventually play for the Dallas Sidekicks and continued with them as part of the coaching staff. With over thirty years of coaching experience, in addition to twenty-one years as a professional player. His professional experience naturally led to coaching competitive youth soccer with Andromeda SC – now merged with Solar Soccer Club. His longevity as a coach and experience as a director helped propel Andromeda SC to be ranked as Soccer America’s third top youth club in 2009. He is happily married for Thirty-three+ years with two children and 1 grandchild. He is proud to have  developed numerous players to continue their pursuit of soccer in college and the professional arena.
